Honoring Korean War Era Veterans

Recently, Rep. Barrar hosted an event to honor the veterans who served in the military during the Korean War era. June 2010 marked the 60th anniversary of the start of the Korean War.

The event included a screening of a special documentary about the Korean War, including interviews with some of the event’s participants who served in the conflict. Barrar also presented veterans with certificates and medals in recognition of their courage and service.

Barrar, a Vietnam veteran, hosts special veterans’ assistance hours at his district office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. Appointments for these hours are strongly encouraged and can be made by contacting Barrar’s office at (610) 485-7606.
