Rep. Stephen Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware), majority chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, in conjunction with the central Pennsylvania chapters of Gold Star Mothers of America and Blue Star Mothers of America, and Wreaths Across America, will hold an event at the state Capitol in honor of U.S. military veterans and active duty personnel. The event is held annually, just prior to holiday wreath-laying activities at military cemeteries across the country. It aims to remember, honor and teach each generation of Americans about the duty and sacrifices of the men and women who serve and have served in our nation’s military.
