Barrar to Examine Cancellations of Workers’ Compensation Policies for Firefighters
WHAT: The House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, led by Majority Chairman Rep. Stephen E. Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware), will host a public hearing to examine reports of cancelled workers’ compensation policies for volunteer fire companies since the adoption of Act 46 of 2011, which would allow for workers’ compensation coverage of certain cancers for firefighters.

WHO: Barrar, members of the committee, insurance industry representatives, members of the firefighter community, and spokesmen for local governments.

WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 9 a.m.
