Barrar to Lead House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Meeting
WHAT: Rep. Stephen E. Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware), majority chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, will lead the committee’s consideration of the following bills for its first meeting of the 2013-14 session: 
  • House Bill 88, authored by Rep. Ron Miller (R-York), which would require the 15-day leave of absence for active duty military personnel to be applied to 15 individual 24-hour days.
  • House Bill 107, authored by Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon), which would require certain Commonwealth agencies to strongly consider a veteran’s military, education, training and experience for the purpose of fulfilling requirements for professional credentials.
