Barrar to Lead Rally in Support of National Guard Military Technicians

WHAT:          Rep. Stephen E. Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware), majority chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, will lead a rally to mark the passage of state legislation in support of the exempting National Guard military technicians from furloughs caused by sequestration.

WHO:             Barrar; Rep. Chris Sainato (D-Beaver/Lawrence), minority chairman and author of House Resolution 360; Sen. Lisa Baker (R-Luzerne/Monroe/Pike/Susquehanna/Wayne/Wyoming), majority chairman of the Senate Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee; Sen. Tim Solobay (D-Allegheny/Beaver/ Greene/Washington/Westmoreland), minority chairman of the Senate committee and author of Senate Resolution 104; Joel Mutschler, chairman of the Pennsylvania National Guard Association; and Maj. Gen. Randall Marchi, Pennsylvania deputy adjutant general – Army.
