Barrar to Host Hearing on Bill to Help Fire Companies Recoup Costs of Emergencies
WHAT:    Rep. Stephen Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware), chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, will host a public hearing in Kennett Square on legislation that would enable volunteer fire and rescue departments to recoup costs incurred during emergency responses. The committee will hear testimony from stakeholders concerning House Bill 2427, which would establish uniform procedures for recouping real and reasonable costs associated with emergency responses.

WHO:    Barrar and other members of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee; Pennsylvania Fire Commissioner Ed Mann; Don Konkle, executive director, Pennsylvania Fire and Emergency Services Institute; Dean Bollendorf, president, Ambulance Association of Pennsylvania; Raymond Stackhouse, president, Chester County Fire Chiefs Association; and several other representatives of fire and emergency services organizations.
