Barrar’s Committee to Vote on Bills Benefitting Veterans
11/20/2015
WHAT: Rep. Steve Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware), majority chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, will lead the committee in a vote on three bills to benefit veterans:

• Senate Bill 1046 would allow the retired National Guard Promotion (honorary) to be given on merit rather than the current process which automatically awards this to all applicants.
House Resolution 581 would urge Congress to make that “Veterans Choice Card Act” permanent, allowing veterans to use their VA health care cards at their primary care doctors’ offices or local hospitals.

WHO: Barrar and other Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee members.

WHEN: Monday, Nov. 23, at 11:45 a.m.
