New SEPTA Cards for Seniors Available on April 27, Barrar Says
HARRISBURG – Rep. Steve Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware) is offering seniors of the 160th District the opportunity to replace their old SEPTA cards without traveling to Philadelphia. They are encouraged to visit his district office at 1 Beaver Road, Suite 100, Chadds Ford, on Wednesday, April 27, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

“My staff and I look forward to offering a convenient option for seniors of the district to transition to SEPTA’s new card system. By visiting my office on April 27, seniors can avoid having to drive to Philadelphia,” Barrar said. “With just a quick trip to my office, they can get everything they need – hassle-free.”

SEPTA applications for the new cards can only be accepted at SEPTA in Philadelphia; Barrar’s district office is no longer able to process them. However, on April 27 only, a SEPTA official will be present to issue the ID cards to seniors 65 and older.

Currently, SEPTA is accepting the old cards and government-issued identification. However, seniors are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity as SEPTA will eventually only accept the new cards.

Registration is recommended, but not required, for this event. Please call the Barrar’s district office at (610) 358-5925 to RSVP or with any questions.
