Barrar, House Committee to Vote on Bills Benefiting Veterans

WHAT: Rep. Steve Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware), chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, will hold a committee meeting to adopt the committee rules for the new legislative session and vote on three bills: 
  • House Bill 204 would codify oversight of the Pennsylvania Civil Air Patrol under the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA).
  • House Bill 247 would allow monuments and memorials to be eligible expenses under the Veterans Trust Fund.
  • House Bill 165 would provide for a new DMVA medal to be given to veterans and private citizens who perform exceptional services for veterans.
