WHAT: Rep. Steve Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware), chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, will hold a committee meeting to vote on two pieces of legislation:
  • Senate Bill 1172 would amends the Price Gouging Act to require certain clarifications when the governor issues proclamations declaring a disaster emergency.
  • House Resolution 992 would proclaim Pennsylvania a Purple Heart State and establish Aug. 7 as “Purple Heart Day” in the Commonwealth.
WHO: Barrar and members of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness committee.
