Paper Shredding and Drug Take-Back Event
I will be hosting a paper shredding and drug take-back event on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 9 a.m. to noon at my district office, One Beaver Valley Road, Chadds Ford (at the intersection of Route 202 and Naamans Creek Road).

The event, which will feature an onsite industrial paper shredder, will provide the opportunity for households of the 160th District to shred up to three packing boxes of materials. The boxes will be returned to residents.

Only paper – not cardboard – will be accepted. Staples and paper clips need not be removed. All shedding takes place onsite.

As we continue the fight against the Commonwealth’s opioid epidemic, I also encourage everyone to drop off medicines, prescription and over-the-counter drugs. By law, needles and epi-pens will not be accepted.

The free event will be held rain or shine.

For more information, please contact my district office at (610) 358-5925.

Hazardous Waste Disposals

Delaware County sponsors four household hazardous waste collection events annually to provide residents with the opportunity to safely dispose of flammables, toxics, batteries, herbicides, pesticides, caustics and mercury-containing devices. Televisions, computers and appliances containing freon will not be accepted. Additional information about what will and will not be accepted is available on the county’s website.
